Following Ioan to his bed, Romilda eased herself down on the soft mattress. Oh, how she hurt, but that didn't matter because now she was safe. Here with Ioan, she was safe and no one could touch her. And that evil man didn't know where she was, right? Romilda shivered slightly, wondering if he could be watching her. Tucking herself close to Ioan, Romilda carefully tangled their legs together. She didn't want to go a single moment without touching him in some way. So long as he was close, Romilda knew no one else could touch her.
"My wand," she said with a soft sob. It had been the last thing Romilda thought about, but once it occurred to her it was missing she found herself missing it terribly. How was she supposed to do anything without a wand? And what would she do if he came back? She wouldn't be able to defend herself. Romilda made a note not to be alone ever until he was caught.
"Can we leave the lights on all night? I don't-- it was so dark and--" Romilda didn't want to admit how scared she was. She was supposed to be brave and strong, but at that moment she felt like the biggest coward in the world.
