The sentiments were sweet, enough so that Ginny found herself thinking beack as to the reasons her and Michael had broken up. She'd moved on to Dean pretty quickly after Michael; the perfect example of a rebound relationship. The continual fighting had eventually been too much. And then there'd been Harry. Harry. And then there was the night of her birthday.
Ginny gave Michael a tight smile. "Well, if I was seeing someone I'm sure he would've given me a brilliant gift." Everyone would find out that her and Harry weren't together anymore eventually. She didn't want people making assumptions, even though she knew that they would. And if anyone knew that her and Harry were currently living together -- albeit, in platonic circumstances -- the 'friends with benefits' tag would probably become associated with their names. The thought made her uncomfortable, and she opened the menu to distract herself, and hide her face.
"The lasagne sounds good," she murmured, hoping that she hadn't made things awkward with her admission.
