Who: Harry, Teddy and OPEN What: It's Tonk's birthday (HPL doesn't say, so I thought she might be a Scorpio), and Harry's taking Teddy to the cemetery. When: Mid-morning, during a break from class and studying. Where: The cemetery. Rating: TBD Incomplete//OPEN (more than one can join in, and somebody can threaten Harry if they don't like him)
Harry had Teddy in a sling against his chest. The seventh month old was looking around outside and babbling and drooling all over the front of Harry's shirt. The eighteen year old didn't mind, as he and Teddy were wrapped up in a large cloak that wrapped around the both of them. If someone saw Harry from afar, it'd look as if Harry had put on a few dozen stone overnight.
Teddy was wearing a purple kit hat and scarf Mrs. Weasley had sent that morning in the Owl delivery. She had also sent some clothes that were a bit big for Teddy, but very warm for the coming winter months.
They approached the cemetery slowly, and Harry leant his head down to Teddy to whisper to him. "Today's your mum's birthday, Ted. Normally, we'd give her flowers and a card, but there aren't any fresh flowers, so we'll have to magic some up. We'll be like those magicians the muggles pay to see, only real." He laughed and rubbed his hand on Teddy's back.
"Your mum was brilliant. She was a metamorphmagus, like you, and she liked to make people laugh with her funny faces. I remember once, she made a whole bunch of us laugh at dinner, and milk came out your Uncle Ron's nose."
Harry reached the resting place of Remus and Tonks. He carefully knelt down, and plucked a few strands of dying grass beside her grave, and transfigured them into a bouquet of colorful flowers.
"These are for you, mum." Harry said for Teddy. "Happy Birthday, Tonks."
"I didn't know your mum as well as your dad, of course. But I do remember quite a few things about her. I remember that she was brave, for a Hufflepuff, persuasive, adventurous, clumsy, funny, and she loved your dad, even when he was a right git."
Harry smiled and looked at the headstone. "You'd be so proud of your little boy, Tonks. He's growing so much. He's crawling all over the place, and he's using his magic to get things he wants when my hands are full. It gets kind of aggravating when you're trying to change his diaper, and a toy hits you in the back. You'd think it brilliant when he changes the color of his hair to ask for certain people, and changes his face for animals. He makes this adorable duck beak when he wants me to quack." Harry laughed. "He's learning a lot, too. I know I don't like the nursery witch they brought in for him, but she has done a lot with him, in helping him learn to grow. She comes to my rooms now, during the day, and stays with Teddy there for the most part. She takes him outside too, if it's not too cold, and they play in the grass." Harry smiled. "Teddy likes her, so I guess that's what is important."
Harry was too busy talking to hear the approach of footsteps behind him.
