She knew that was true enough. She would always be there for Lia if and when the worst thing possible happened. The thing was, she didn't want that to happen. She didn't to have to wait to see the train ride off it's rails. The idea made her angry and frustrated, more that she had to wait for it to happen than anything.
"No." Melinda said stubbornly. But then the moved his hands and the world seemed that much colder. She hadn't protested their placement on her, but when they left her, she missed them and hated the coldness they left.
"Yeah, alright." She surrendered after a moment before moving to get up.
