At least she didn't tell him to piss off. Not yet, anyway. That was a win in his book. Honestly, he wasn't trying to crowd or bother her, but upset people, especially upset women really bothered him. Plus, he hated the idea of her being out here alone. It wasn't that he thought her vulnerable in any sense, but when she was clearly so angry and upset, one was compromised. It led to slow reflexes, bad decisions. That didn't sit well with Ter.
"Boys are pretty damn stupid. I'll give ya that one," he said, clicking his tongue against the side of his cheek, sitting back into the grass. Though at the same time, he didn't really think Mel was the type of person to let men get to her. But perhaps he was jumping to conclusions and it was more than that.
"Do I need to punch someone's face in for you? Pretty good at that shite. Don't gotta decide now, of course, it's one of them standing offers." Going silent for a moment he looked up at the sky, then back over at Mel.
"Didn't peg you for the type to let men get to you like this. Guessing it's not how I think?" Maybe if he left it open ended, allowed her to explain, she'd take it.
