Greg frowned slightly as another pair of students moved deliberately to the other side of the hallway as he made his way through the halls. He didn’t look at the long though, focusing on the wall in front of him until he’d made it through the double doors. He wasn’t afraid of walking by himself, mostly for the same reason that the other students seemed to fear him, Goyle had a past and connections and he was a Slytherin, he was less likely to be in danger. He remembered briefly the girl, Lia, who’d walked with him and Millie to see her acromantula before she’d been attacked. He’d make sure to find hers and make sure it got fed too, since he was pretty sure she was in the hospital wing.
He went to his hutch and pulled out his acromantula, a chubby female he’d name Io. He set her down, and she scuttled around his feet, affectionately nipping at his shoes with her pincers as he reached down to pet her. With a few concentrated flicks of his wand, he transfigured a harness around her, using some leaves to transfigure a small leash. It might look funny, but he didn’t want her to wander off. “Hey Io.” He said softly, placing some food on the ground for her, trying her to a tree for a moment before moving to the second hutch that said ‘Rushden’ and took at the Acromantula there. He hissed a bit at the unfamiliar contact, but Greg tried to sooth him.
“Hey, buddy.” He said gently, reaching over and grabbing more food from the cabinet, feeding the smaller spider. “Want to come out and play with Io and I?” After letting the spider eat for a few moments, he transfigured a leash and harness for the male too before picking up the male spider and setting him near his own.
