Though Lia had never been the overly affectionate type, even when it came to friends, she couldn't help but bury her face into Dean's chest, sobbing uncontrollably for a few moments. Fuck, why did all of this have to be happening? Why was Hogwarts so batshit insane all the damn time? And after the war, after all the death, why did disaster after disaster strike continuously? It's like their year of hell was never going to end and it killed her. She wasn't sure she could continue on like this. It was wearing on her already fragile state of mind...
But at his words, Lia tried to calm down, tried to pull herself together, and eventually her river of tears subsided into nothing more than constant small hiccups, which hurt her side every time it happened.
And when he promised that he would find who did this, she wanted to tell him it was no use. Whoever was out there... well, they were smart. They obviously had done something like this before, and knew how to get away with it. It made her wonder if anyone else in the school had been attacked and if the attacker had actually gone through with the entire thing. Would they have come forward? Or would they feel like she did now? Embarrassed? Ashamed? Alone? But... she supposed she wasn't alone. Instead, it all filled her with a strange sort of anger. She wanted this son of a bitch captured and brought to justice, so even if there were victims lurking in the shadows, unable to speak out, they could have their revenge in a sense. They could have peace of mind.
As Dean stopped her from folding in on herself, she couldn't help but whimper again. That's all she wanted to do after all, but nodded at his words. "Pomfrey... yeah," she agreed to without much of a struggle. Though she hated the hospital, it didn't matter so much right now. At least there would be more people there. Safety in numbers and all that. "Do you... really think that's even possible," she whispered as he picked her up, looking at the glass in her arm. It was uncomfortable, and now that her adrenaline was wearing down, everything was starting to twinge. Ache. "I'm sorry, Dean," she mumbled, closing her eyes because her head hurt so damn much, and consciousness wavered a bit. "My head hurts..." she said tiredly. "I can't keep my eyes open..." she muttered again, a frown crossing her features.
"I'm so.. I'm really stupid.." she finished, her head slumping against his shoulder.
