Dean was torn between venturing forward to find exactly who had done this to his friend, but knew what was more important. He had to get Lia to the infirmary. The person that did this was probably long gone and back into the hole that they crawled out of. If only Dean got his hands on the person first, he'd make them regret even looking at the brunette the wrong way.
He felt Lia reach out to grab him, and pulled her into a tight embrace to show that he was there. That he wasn't going anywhere. That he was going to keep her safe if the person came back to finish what he he had started, all the way to the infirmary. A thought slipped into his mind that it might have all been Alecto's work. Maybe the death eater managed to get through the barrier to cause more chaos in secret, attacking those that he was close to since the threat was still fresh in his mind, which only made him think of Ginny. He had to make sure she was okay too.
As Lia explained, his heart went out to her. It felt like roles reversed in comparison to what he went through a few days ago. "Shhhh, it's going to be okay. It's going to be --" he paused as she mentioned that she didn't know who had done it, eyes traced hers momentarily. It was obvious that some kind of memory charm was used. And one that made her remember the event in whole. Just not the attacker. It caused the anger that filled him over the course of a few days to boil a bit.
"We'll find out who did this. I promise. And they're going to pay for it. I'll make sure of it, but for now, I'm going to get you to Pomfrey. She'll know what to do," he began as his hand moved down to stop her from curling into herself. The glass was visible, but he didn't want to pull them out just yet. Maybe there was some DNA from the asshole who did this to her on a piece. It wasn't likely, but there still could be. "Don't do that. You're just going to make the glass sink even further." His arms moved carefully to lift her up, in hopefully, would be as painless as possible, and on to his feet. She really was in no condition to make it all the way over on her own.
