Benjy was sorely tempted to let Gabe lean against him for as long as it took. He didn't want to rush him, but staying there, in that room, it didn't seem like a good idea. Who knew what was floating around in there, what contaminants had gotten into the air. It was hazardous to stay there for now. Benjy would have to come back later to investigate with a small team, preferably people who understood what all of these ingredients and potions mixed together in a slop on the floor could do.
Thankfully, Gabe didn't take too long orienting himself and righted himself from Benjy's shoulder quickly. Benjy steered them from the room, shifting a bit to the side so they could both fit through the door. While Gabe meant something and this was horrible, Benjy had had to help people evacuate previously. Aligning his body to leave room for walls and doors was easy enough. The stairs might be something completely different though.
Benjy stopped them long enough to close the door. "Just another minute. I have to make sure no one else gets in there." He casted the spells he thought necessary, leaving a trace on the door to alarm him if someone tried to get in that wasn't him or didn't have the clearance.
