If anything, Ernie was fiercely protective of his mates, which Megan loved. There needed to be more Ernies in the world, in her opinion.
"I hope you're right," she said, snuggling into his chest. "I just don't understand the Ministry right now and what they're thinking. There are some of us that aren't sick and we're stuck here with the rest of them."
Megan was trying to hold in the other questions in her mind. She knew she'd make a good journalist because she always asked the hard, impossible questions.
"You can't protect me all the time, Ernie," she said, looking up at him "If you were hurt protecting me, I'd be very upset. I'm just glad there aren't first years here right now. They'd be the ones in need of protection, not me."
