Lia was completely shite at apologies, having barely ever given them in her life except to perhaps her mother, over and over and over. But they never made any difference when it came to her, so over the years she stopped apologizing, thinking that there was no point to them. But in this instance, Dean was her friend. And while she figured he would get over it in time anyway, she just wanted to make sure and everything. Plus, she did feel bad for going off on him deep down.
Though she had to admit, the fact he kept looking into her eyes made her feel uncomfortable. Not that he was making her uncomfortable, of course, but she was already embarrassed enough and his unflinching gaze in the wake of her apology made her feel the slightest bit weak that she was bad at doing the same.
"No... stop," she said, shaking her head then as he tried to brush it all off like it wasn't a big deal. Because it was. "I'd rather not bite off the head of one of the few friends I have. You didn't deserve that, and it was unfair of me, especially because out of everyone.... well, out of everyone you get it. It just..." she brushed a hand through her hair, a gasp of annoyance escaping past her lips. "It's just all such shite, and I suck at handling... life." She shrugged, finally looking up at him and trying to give a small smile at his joke.
"The fire is never out of my system, Dean. Don't fool yourself."
