While he wasn't expecting Angelina to do what she did, Adrian wasn't going to complain. Certainly not when she settled herself on his lap, effectively trapped between him and the table. His hands went to her waist, pleased to find that they felt natural there, even as her kiss lit a fire under his skin. It seemed to burn just as hot as any of the flames in the room around them. He opened his mouth to her, answering her boldness in kind. There was so much in her eyes when he met them that he was rendered speechless. Fortunately, Angelina had a challenge ready for him that he could answer without opening his mouth at all. His hands shifted away from her hips, sliding up her arms to cup her neck. Her words sent a shiver arcing along his spine, spoken against his neck as they were.
"Anything you want," he murmured, voice gone suddenly hoarse.
Dinner was forgotten that quickly. The scent of Angelina's skin and hair filled his senses, drowning out everything else. He hadn't meant to rush things, but if he stopped to think for a second, it didn't feel like too soon or too much. If they wandered toward his bedroom, would the elves take care of the food? Maybe send it back later, when they were a little less hungry for other things?
Adrian let his fingers start their wandering again, brushing them through Angelina's hair, then down her back. His blazer was too warm, he just didn't want to stop touching long enough to take it off. They weren't exactly in the best position to divest themselves of anything, either, though he expected they could find a way. In the meantime, he could kiss her to his heart's desire. With the thumb and forefinger of one hand tucked beneath her chin, he lifted Angelina's face and picked up right where she'd left off, only considerably more insistent. More sure. To hell with the wine, he thought. The taste of her mouth was heady enough.
"Tell me what you want me to do, love." He was full of firsts, it seemed, as he wasn't one to indulge in pet names. There wasn't a lot he thought he'd say no to, when it came to Angelina and the things she liked. He'd already told her so. Time to prove that point.
