"Hope so. Don't want to be the first Gryffindor captain to muck it all up before the season even really starts." Ginny laughed, though there was the lingering fear that she would muck it all up. She wasn't quite sure which she was more nervous about: Quidditch Captaining or Head Girling. She wasn't quite sure what McGonagall's plan was, honestly.
She grabbed the snitch from the box before she kicked off herself and felt the tension in her chest release a little as she flew up into the air. Their brooms all had their little quirks to them. It was a symptom of age and over-use. Charlie's dragged left and Ginny's sometimes had trouble accelerating and sort of sputtered. It just meant that you had to make some adjustments. Like if she didn't come to a full stop, she could usually manage to get it to go fine.
"Alright. Give it thirty seconds and then we start, yeah?" She released the snitch and it darted around her head for a moment before zooming away. "I hope you're ready to lose." She teased.
