WHO: Anthony Goldstein and Zacharias Smith
WHAT: Discussing things, catching up
WHEN: 4 August 1998
WHERE: Zacharias's house
RATING: TBD
STATUS: Incomplete
Before even deciding to go punting with the boys, Anthony had promised to head over to Zacharias' house to catch up. Among other things. He was supposed to go over after work, but since he skipped out on that, he decided just to head over a little later than originally planned. At least he hadn't completely backed out, which he had thought about doing several times while on the boat. It was easier to stay with and surround himself with people who a good portion of the rest of the school didn't dislike for one reason or another. And he could understand. Zacharias was a challenge, and Anthony was sure he knew it too. He was conceited and thought too highly of himself and yet Anthony got along with him spectacularly.
In secret, anyway. It wasn't known that they were friendly, let alone hooking up with each other one a somewhat regular basis. Or, at least, had been. Zacharias was a ladies man, an annoying one, but it didn't seem he was about to step out of that closet he had buried himself in anytime soon. And Anthony had his own reputation, he was well aware, for sleeping around. But, he hadn't gotten himself slapped and people generally liked him for whatever reason. It was going to be worse this year though, Anthony had a feeling, for Zacharias, since he had run from the battle and hidden. It wasn't a good thing, and Anthony knew people in Hogwarts held grudges.
He wanted to talk to Zacharias about that. Listen to him, why he had been so scared that he had run away, while everyone else had been scared and still fought, himself included. He just wanted to better understand. And at the very least, even if in secret, he wanted to be a good friend. Anthony prided himself on being a good friend and a good listener, even if it was done on an individual basis. In a group of more than two people, Anthony liked to be the center of attention, or damn close to it, and sometimes came off as an asshole himself. But he was good one-on-one. He listened and he offered advise and sometimes said the hard shit that no one wanted to hear, but needed to.
So, even though a headache was growing between his eyes, after punting with the other Ravenclaws, Anthony apparated to the Smith's manor and knocked, not knowing who would answer the door.
