Zacharias gave a small smile, shrugging his shoulders slightly, letting himself melt a bit more into the other boy. "If you think you can stand teaching me. I've been told I'm a bit of a terror in the classroom." He was joking, but it felt nice that Anthony was willing to help him. He tried to pretend he didn't care about courses, but deep down Zacharias was just...afraid. He hid his insecurities in his dickishness, which tended to give him attention, even if it was mostly negative. It was better than the silence he got from home, as his current empty manor was evidence of.
Zacharias had felt sick all year when his friends were gone, particularly Justin. His stomach turned thinking about his friend locked up in Azkaban, nothing he could do to help or save him. It was purebloods like him that SHOULD have stepped up, and instead he'd run away like a coward. He didn't deserve good friends, but he was lucky enough to have them somehow. He felt even more useless than usual.
He let his fingers trail even more along Anthony's skin, trailing his stomach, distracting him even as they were talking about serious things. "I guess that's a possibility," he owned, giving Anthony a crooked smile. "Honestly, I am planning on trying. Maybe being humble doesn't come easy, but I'll try. Or do. I'll do it." It was certainly easier said than done, but Zacharias was stubborn. He could do what he set out to do, he could prove himself.
Zacharias looked at Anthony when bid, his stomach flipping a little. He really did like the attention, and his eyes were soft as he looked at the other boy. He let out a breath at the request and nodded. "I do. To Puffs. I guess I just need to get better at showing others." He let himself melt into the kiss, a sound of protest as Anthony pulled back to talk to him. "Not if you keep kissing me like that then pulling away I won't be," he joked, though that was true enough.
It had been longer than he would have liked since he'd kissed anyone at all.
