"I can help you, if you want? We're going to need to know some of those spells for NEWTs anyway." Anthony was much better at practice then he was at reading and studying. Actually doing was where he excelled, and he could help other people in that way as well. He wasn't on the same level as Harry Potter or his group of immediate friends, but he wasn't a Ravenclaw for no reason. And for NEWTs? He was doing well above average.
God, but then he was talking about someone else dying because of him and that was something Anthony could understand. Maybe not in the same way, but he understood. Two of Zacharias' roommates had gone to Azkaban and they were two of the most important people in Anthony's life. Ioan, his best friend and practically his brother, they had been inseparable since they were five. Justin, who had been his boyfriend at the time he was arrested. And Anthony couldn't save either of them, he hadn't been able to help them, or lie his ass off and claim them as family. He felt guilty about that every day. They both could have died because Anthony couldn't save them.
He closed his eyes tight and tried to push those thoughts out of his head, which was so much easier with Zacharias' hands under his shirt. "You're not useless. But maybe you should try something... not your way?" He cocked an eyebrow up in challenge. Like himself, Zacharias was very hit or miss with certain people; that's probably why they got along as well as they did.
Hey," Anthony used his hand to tilt Zacharias' face so he was looking at him. He liked Zacharias was just a little taller than him. At over six feet, it wasn't the norm that he would be shorter, even if it was only by an inch or so. "You do care. Maybe you should show that a little more?" When he leaned in this time, the kiss wasn't as nice and innocent as the last one had been. "You gonna be alright?"
