Justin was fairly impressed, even if it sounded like superstitious mumbo-jumbo. Then again, they were wizards, so he put a little more stock in superstition than he might have otherwise. He took it from Alexander and put it around his neck, settling it under his shirt next to the protection necklace that Anthony had given him for his birthday the day before. He should be damn-near invincible by this point.
"That's a lot to wish for someone you've just met," he said, then added, "but I'm not ungrateful. Thank you, Alexander. I could probably use some peace and stability right now, as you might have witnessed."
