Angie really didn't mind that Adrian was laughing at her. Really, she laughed at her self just as much as anyone else so what did it matter? And once he seemed settled, Angie turned to mirror his own position, her plate in between the two of them on the couch as she faced him. She brought one of her legs up onto the couch and bent it in front of her while the other still hung off and swayed back and forth, dragging her foot over the cool floor and listening to him talk. A smile spread over her face at the mention of the Gryffindor team, happy to hear they still possessed such talent but also frowning at the mention of them perhaps not trusting him, or treating him with the respect he deserved. At the end of the day, he was a professor now. If there was any time for prejudices to fall to the wayside, it was now. "Want me to yell at them all for you? Tell them to show you some darn respect. Because I will!" she said with a return wink. "I can be quite terrifying when I want to be. At the very least, I can shout them deaf or something. Teach them not to mess with you anymore." Okay, she was teasing now, and at his idea of her coming with to training, she perked up the slightest bit. Her eyes brightened, and she slowly nodded her head at the idea. "I'd uhm... I'd like that a lot. All of it. Going with to train the students, training with you as well."
She waited as he began to eat, wanting him to enjoy the food just as much as she was. Angie took a few bites herself, ripping off a piece of naan and dipping it in the sauce of the tikka masala. After a few more bites, she rubbed her hands together, wanting to still talk more. She always wanted to talk to him, to pick his brain, to hear his voice. It was oddly comforting and already familiar to her in a way that she didn't want to give up. She could be a selfish person.
"I'll be your partner," she said, after finally swallowing and giving him a smile. Though in the back of her mind she knew the other way that could sound and she didn't bother trying to fix it. She sort of... wanted that meaning to linger anyway.
"No one interested in Quidditch? Believe it or not.. I know how that goes. My parents have no idea where my love for the game came from. Of course I went to some matches as a child, but..I don't know there was just something about flying that spoke to me on a level they didn't understand. It made me feel... free? Uninhibited. So many things. The only thing that kind of stunk about the entire thing was there was no one to play with, sort of like you. It sucked," she said, enjoying that in a way, it was a shared experience. Angie liked sharing things with him, to be sure.
"Maybe we can scrimmage sometime. Sometime soon. Still might not be that much fun, but at the very least I'll give you a damn good run for your money. We'll see if you can keep up! I'm very fast you know!" she exclaimed playfully. Taking a few more bites in silence, she thought to herself about so many things, all of them dancing on the edge of her tongue but she was unable to say them. Well, maybe she could a little bit.
"I like spending time with you, you know, if you haven't figured it out yet. So basically any suggestion you make that ends in hanging out, I'm going to take it. Just as a warning and everything," she said brightly, leaning in a bit and resting her chin on her hand, her gaze going a bit dreamy, even if it was the slightest bit juvenile of her. She was a little bit taken, and she wasn't exactly afraid if he knew it. Hell, she wanted Adrian to pick up on it! She gave him a slightly amused look at that, reaching over to take a small drink of her beer before setting it back down on the table. "I feel... happy.. when I'm around you. Here. You're different from most of the people that I know, and maybe that's why I like you so much. But I guess what I'm trying to say is... even if this entire quarantine thing still terrifies me to no end, and makes me feel like I have a boulder on my chest just thinking about it.. in a way I can put up with it because it gives me more of an excuse to bother you indefinitely." Yep, she was being forward. But that's who Ange was. He was right when he noticed she wore her emotions on her sleeve, and she hoped that wasn't going to scare him away.
