"Those elves are amazing, I'll certainly give them that," she admitted, taking in the scent of the food. It truly reminded her of India and honestly? She needed that right now. Something to remind her of the outside world, that it wasn't completely unobtainable. It was a soothing feeling, in a strange way. Tikki Masala. Tandoori Chicken. Aloo Saag. And was that Lamb Do Piaza? Either way, it looked and smelled amazing in ways she couldn't explain. Sitting down next to him, she took it all in, a true smile spreading across her face, the thoughts and troubles of being replaced, of being trapped, fleeing from her mind for this moment and just taking in the food and the company. It was enough to make anyone smile, in her opinion.
Chuckling at his comment then she looked over at him, giving him a small wink before adding, "Maybe it's a good thing you didn't know then. I think we both would have gone to an early grave, gorging ourselves in Indian food and a manner of other things we probably shouldn't think about right now. And don't even talk about ice cream. I'm going to have to ask them if they can figure out fried ice cream and then both of our figures are in serious trouble. We'll have to work out like... ten hours a day to get it out of our systems," she teased, bumping her shoulder into his in a gentle and playful manner.
As the lids were removed then, the smells became more intense and Angie's mouth started to water. Leaning forward she nearly moaned, not complaining about the volume of food in the slightest. "Hey, leftovers!" she reminded him excitedly with a waggle of her eyebrows, grabbing a plate and beginning to dish up a little bit of everything, not wanting to miss out on the amazing flavors and dishes that the elves had prepared for them. Angie was all about variety, after all. Especially in a situation that involved vast amounts of delicious food.
At his question though she set down her plate for a moment, turning to face him and nodding in the affirmative. "Yeah..." she said gently, biting her lower lip for a moment and looking down at her fingernails as they clicked together. But eventually, she looked up at him, a thankful gleam in her eye. "I appreciate it. I feel... a little better, at least. Your bed is comfortable." And it smells like you, but she didn't add that part. She didn't want to seem like a giant creep, even if she kind of was one.
And before she really thought better of it she leaned in, quickly closing the gap between them, kissing his lips gently but refusing to pull away quickly like she did at the lake. She lingered, gently running her tongue along his lip, savoring the feeling and the taste of it all, breathing him in for the slightest of moments before pulling back, an embarrassed but slightly satisfied look coloring her face.
"Thank you, by the way. For everything. The food. The place to stay. The company... for simply being you. And I really mean that," she told him, honesty being the only thing she knew in that moment. In other words, there was no doubting Angelina's words, she meant every single one of them and she wanted him to know that.
