The rustle of the bed covers registered at the back of Adrian's mind, but he didn't look up until movement caught the edge of his vision. He watched unabashed as Angelina got up and approached him, then shrugged off the apology. It wasn't necessary. He'd invited her there, and if it allowed her some escape, then he was more than fine with the idea of sharing the space. "No worries. You aren't exactly in the way." And something about her being comfortable there resonated with him in a way he didn't expect. Adrian closed his book and set it aside, a grin finally appearing while she gushed over the food. "You gave me the idea, honestly. I had no idea the elves were capable of things like this," he explained, gesturing with a nod at the food. It did smell delicious, the spices overpowering even the scent of wood smoke. "I dunno about being amazing, but I was in the mood for something different." Though they couldn't leave the grounds, he'd been pleased to find that a little of the outside world could be brought to them.
He hoped that the rest and the food might go a little ways toward cheering Angelina. The news of being replaced was a difficult thing; he should know. There were days when he wondered just how long the Arrows would stay in touch. Positive thinking or not, there was every chance he may have to come to terms with that loss on a more permanent basis. Adrian was glad Angelina didn't need to face that, at least. Even if he would miss her once the quarantine was eventually lifted. It was a surprising thought, made slightly less so as he considered that she'd been a bright spot in his life the past few weeks. And he still wanted to take her flying.
"If I'd known the elves were capable of all this years ago, I might have eaten my weight in ethnic food," Adrian admitted. "And ice cream. They're brilliant." He shifted around on the couch until he could reach the plates and food, removing lids from serving bowls as he went. It was definitely way too much food. He couldn't wait to dig in, but it was ladies first. "Looks like they brought enough for an army. I did tell them it was only two. Take your pick." Adrian was going for the tikka masala as soon as possible.
With a glance up at his guest, Adrian tilted his head. "Did you at least sleep well? I did my best not to wake you. Seemed like you needed the rest." Any other time, he might have made a crack about Gryffindor tower. As it was, he left the joke alone. It seemed in poor form, with Angelina out of sorts. Wasn't very professional either, even if it wasn't a colleague or student in the room with him.
