Unable to stop himself, Jamie reached out and ran the tips of his fingers over the face of the card tentatively. He hadn't realized that they moved. Hadn't expected that at all. The card was actually lovely and he was so engrossed in it that it took him a moment to look up. Once he was paying attention, he understood that there was a lot to learn about tarot. Much more than he'd imagined.
"I lived in Massachusetts," he answered. "I was born there. My mom and I took a lot of road trips? I suppose it's accurate enough." His mother had wanted him to experience everything. They'd gone to amusement parks and museums. Gone for hayrides and to farm markets. Some of Jamie's best memories featured him sitting in the passenger seat of his mom's Volvo. Sadly, his worst memory featured the same, but he wasn't ready to own up to that just yet. "What's next?"
He caught himself leaning forward to see what card was drawn second.
