Theodore took the cards back from Jamie, and cut them once, putting them on the seat in the small space between them. "This is...just a three-card spread. That's...that's what tarot deals are called: spreads." He thought Jamie might appreciate that extra bit of information. "It's a simple one, I guess...the first card I will draw is for past influences, the second for present factors, and the third for future outcomes, all related to your question."
He dealt out the three cards between them, and looked up at Jamie before he flipped over the first. It showed a blond witch in black robes, with six silver goblets rotating in a slow circle in front of her. Being that they were wizarding tarot, the goblets moved slowly, and her dark eyes followed them. The card was upright facing Jamie.
"This is...the reversed Six of Cups," Theodore explained, adding that different cards had different meanings depending which way they faced in the draw, and the reversed position was relative to the reader. "It's...a card that represents childhood, oftentimes. So...did you travel a lot as a child, or...live somewhere else? Maybe...something when you were younger gave you an urge to travel."
