Jamie didn't have any intention of standing Theodore up, but he was running late. He'd stopped off at the library after dinner and lost track of time. It was only a few minutes, however, and he was running as soon as he hit the corridor, sliding to a stop within a couple feet of his new friend. Were they friends? He thought they could be. Last year was...last year. Jamie could forgive and forget. If he'd thought for one second Theodore wanted to hurt him, that would've been the end, but as he'd said over the journals, it simply wasn't the case. Then, that had Jamie wondering suddenly, even as he smiled at the other boy, if he would be the one doing the reminding. And that wasn't fair. Should he ask? Would it be weird?
"Hi," he greeted, a little breathlessly and a little too brightly. "I have a bad habit of forgetting what time it is when I go to the library. I didn't mean to keep you waiting. How's your day been?"
