"No, I'm... glad you did," Neville said. Being nonchalant about Hedwig in front of Harry through ignorance was one thing, but it would have been terrible if he'd said anything to diminish the death of Justin's own sister, even if he hadn't realised it. He knew that Justin's family could be difficult sometimes, about apparently silly things - but then his Gran could be that way too, sometimes. It had always been something they'd had almost in common. This sounded rather more serious, though. "You can always tell me stuff."
He hesitated. "You may as well know," he said finally. His Gran had let the cat out of the bag already before he could stop her, so there wasn't any harm in it. "One of the Lestranges sent me an owl. These Death Eaters..." he struggled with an explanation that wouldn't sound like complaining. "They have this sort of vendetta against my family. So I've had half my head back at home all week. I know... I mean I didn't lose anyone, like...." he trailed off, awkwardly.
