Who: Jimmy Peakes and Rose Zeller What: family time Where: Ava’s room. When: Saturday afternoon
Just holding her, Jimmy had no idea how he’d taken part in making something so incredibly wonderful. He’d left just a few weeks into her life, and he was determined to make up for lost time with her, holding her constantly, bouncing her in her arms to hear her laugh and changing her nappies as often as possible. He wanted the tiny baby never to doubt just how much he was there for her.
The four month old was laying on a blanket on the floor, grabbing at toys and stuffing them in her mouth as a way of exploring. Jimmy was sitting next to her, one hand reassuring on her back, the other flipping through the journal network on a journal he’d stolen. He was worried. Things were going to hell, people were being murdered and no one knew how long they’d be stuck there with Merlin knows how many murderers. They were running out of food, but Jimmy already knew that when it came down to it, he’d go without to make sure that Rose and Ava had plenty.
Jimmy smiled as Ava let out a gentle coo, and looked up, unaware how long Rose had even been in the room. “Hello love.”
