"When do you need to take them?" Penny asked, frowning at him. "It's probably important you do. Otherwise you'll just be cranky and unbearable." She gave him a little smile despite her words, ignoring the way he shifted his hand out of sight.
"I can see, just a little bit of food. I wouldn't want you to go hungry," Penny teased, carefully moving things aside to find the biscuits as the kettle started to whistle.
Within a few minutes she was perched beside Charlie, two cups of tea and a plate of biscuits in front of them. Penny didn't really know what to say now. Alone with Charlie and no Newt. Not that he was the only thing they had in common.
