Sabrina's heart raced at Grant's confession. She let out a breath she'd been holding. She couldn't think of anyone more worthy to be her first date than Grant. He was the first one she'd thought of when she was 13 and wanting boys to notice her. She wished often that he'd asked her out then, but he hadn't. She wondered if it had been because of her reading glasses or because of her too big front teeth. Everything had finally evened out when she was fifteen and he still hadn't noticed.
"Why would you think you're not worthy?" she whispered, not sure if she wanted to know the answer.
