Honestly, had Angelina known he was watching her, she wouldn't have really cared all that much. To a certain extent, Angie wore her feelings on her sleeve, or as best as she could anyway. There were certain things she kept hidden, like the trauma from the war. But unlike some other people, she didn't see the point of going through life afterwards so broken. She could at least keep living for those lost, even if the fact she was there and they weren't still tore at her. And there was also the fact she was truly trying to get over this idea of the houses being divided. She thought it was bullshit in school, and she thought it bullshit now. Sure, more than one Slytherin had shown their ugly insides when they wanted to hand Potter over to Voldemort, but there were still some who stayed. There were still some who were loyal and had friends who they fought for. They were few and far between but they existed and blaming the good ones or lumping them in with the bad really wasn't fair. She wanted to judge people based on actions, not stereotypes.
Though she would be the first to admit she hadn't been perfect with that in school, but Adrian always felt like one of the good ones, at least from what she saw. It was one of the reasons she had come to see him anyway. She wanted to see for herself, and so far, she liked what she saw.
At his admission to crawling inside a bottle after his injury, Angelina offered him a comforting smile. It wasn't sympathetic really, but understanding. If a smile could convey that much, anyway, she wasn't sure. Maybe she just looked stupid. "I don't think I really blame you for that. Pretty sure I'd do the same if I was in a similar situation. I'm just pleased to see you managed to pull yourself out. That's the important part, and look at you now!" she said brightly, gesturing around to the room they were in.
"Shaper of young minds, teacher of a new league of up and coming stars. You're basically on the front lines here, Adrian. What you say can make or break some people, but no pressure or anything," she finished with a wink, a teasing tone to her voice. Though to an extent it was true. Teaching was important, even if that wasn't what he wanted to do forever.
At his mention of her team though, she perked up more, if that was even possible. "It's amazing! I mean.. obviously I'm the rookie, so they like to give me a hard time, but I hold my own. Even if holding my own during practice means turning into a puddle of what once was Angelina Johnson once I hit the locker rooms. But it's shaping up to be a good season. We're working on some new formations, shit you haven't seen before yet. We're hoping to give everyone a good fight and a good show this year!" she said, just going off on her own little tangent. Adrian would soon find out that if he let her, she would drone on about it forever.
"You'll have to come watch me play sometime! Come to the after party and everything! I'll get you one of the good seats. I totally have that power," she said with an eyebrow waggle, tilting her seat back with her feet and balancing precariously. But in typical Angelina she went a tad too far back, losing her balance and almost falling over, but managing to slam the chair forward instead making a rather loud bang. "Sorry! Sorry! My bad!" she apologized profusely while also half giggling at herself. "I'm getting excited, if you can't tell."
