Who: Lee Jordan and Lavender Brown
What: A conversation about Werewolf rights
Where: a private recording room in the WWN building
When: Monday evening.
The great thing about doing something that was considered controversial (such as promoting the regulation of werewolf right equivalency) was that Lee learned quickly who was worth keeping on his team. It wasn’t that you even have to agree with him, though admittedly he had less respect for those who didn’t, but you had to at least work civilly on whatever he had them working on. He’d had two people quit over the Werewolf Rights issue alone, but that didn’t bother him. It did mean, however, that he had to work harder.
To insure that things would go smoothly, Lee decided not to hold the interview live. He was sure that there would be protestors, or people who would give Lavender a hard time, and Lee wanted to avoid that for everyone’s sake. With that in mind, he was also waiting at the door to her, to escort her up through the building.
In the private recording room, which he’d be taking her too when she arrived, he’d already set up microphones and the like, as well as water, tea and snacks (including chocolate-- every since Potterwatch, Lee found that he prefered to have chocolate around while he was recording, it was a strange quirk brought on by Remus, whom he’d often collaborated with).
He leaned against the door frame, sipping from a water bottle when he saw her. He remembered her from school, but he wouldn’t say that they were particularly friendly. Still, he reached out a hand to her.
“Hello, Ms. Brown, my names Lee. Thank you for coming.” He gave her a bright, charming smile.
