Everything had been moving quickly since the sale of the Antiques shop. A trip to his parents' property in the lake district - long since boarded up and hidden from sight to anyone who didn't have the right spells - had yielded an idea. His mother's extensive collection of jewels was in the dressing room, and a number of other valuables. After setting the whole place on fire, he went straight to Diagon Alley to search for real estate.
Of course properties on the most popular wizarding street in the country were rare and expensive, but he managed to persuade the owner of one shop to sell out. It helped that the place was on the corner of Knockturn Alley, where some were perhaps less likely to wander. The place had put up a decent front, but the inside was quite run down once all the stock had been removed and there were no distractions.
A few owls to a contact in his father's old pocket book set up his supply, and a few wand waves created a large sign in the window - ABDUL'S TREASURE CHEST with a smaller sign underneath saying Opening Soon. The next day he was putting requests for staff in the Prophet.
He was still congratulating himself on such a neat solution when he heard a voice calling from downstairs. Like many shops on the street, there was a handy apartment on the upper floor. Smaller than the Antique store, but there was after all such thing as Wizardspace when it came to storage. "Yes, good afternoon," he said, appearing as though by magic on the stairs. His eyebrows raised for moment as he recognised the visitor. "Miss Ophelia - oh, do forgive me. Lia," he corrected himself. "You can't have come in response to the advertisement? It won't be out until tomorrow morning."
