Who: Penny and Charlie [!grabme]
What: Charlie and the Dragon
Where: Dreamland
When: Tuesday night
Rating/Status: Hilarious
It wasn't the ideal situation to be in when she was due to be having a baby any minute now, Penny had to admit that. And she wasn't entirely sure how it had happened in the first place, but here she was, in a tower. And there was a dragon. It was a lovely dragon. Well, his manner seemed to be quite pleasant, but he was also incredibly handsome. It wasn't awful, even if it wasn't convenient, and Penny couldn't help but harbour the small misgiving that the dragon might eat Newton when he was born if she didn't escape.
But there was the tower, and there wasn't any way she was going to be shimmying down the side of it in her condition. But she knew, absolutely, that there would be someone along to save her. there always were. There were always knights in shining armour running around saving ladies from Dragons. Which meant there were probably a lot more dragons than people allowed for.
Leaning in the window of her tower, Penny idled away the time. Actually, it was quite nice to be away from it all and have a rest. There were books in her tower room, and somehow the dragon managed to feed her, which made perfect sense. Bread and fruit juice, which was surprisingly sustaining.
It was spring, the weather had cleared up, birds were singing, though Penny had always assumed that there wouldn't be many birds hanging around near wherever a dragon lived. She wasn't sure if she was in a castle or just a tower or if there was maybe a cave nearby that the dragon lived in, but she knew he was around because she saw him and he would read poetry loud enough for Penny to hear. Probably not to her, but she could hear him.
Really, if it weren't for the fact that the dragon really might eat Newton she would be happy there.
