Stephen & Daphne
They had spent the best part of the day standing, sitting, smiling, being photographed and pulled around. Stephen wasn't actually sure he'd had a chance to say anything to Daphne that wasn't his vows yet. He could understand the excitement, even if he did feel a little like he was watching it from outside through a grubby window, but would five minutes of peace after making the biggest commitment of their lives be too much to ask?!
After their meal, and the speeches and the beautiful dessert flowers, Stephen considered that maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to sneak them both away for a slight breather. But no such luck. The party was starting, and with it the music. And with the music, his and Daphne's first dance together as a married couple. "You'd think we'd at least be able to pick the type of dance we wanted as our first," He mumbled to her as they made their way to the dance floor, "I've never been a big fan of the waltz. I must prefer ballroom, or even swing!" He offered her a smile, "But I don't think swing would've worked very well for you in that dress."
