They always celebrated the Twins' birthday the day before they left to go to Hogwarts. They're birthday was a few weeks after the semester started, and while it wasn't a huge deal to Ronnie, she did enjoy having her favorite meals, and the traditional book as a present from her parents. They weren't really well off, but her parents weren't bad people. Not really. It was hardly their fault that they didn't really understand her. She's always been the black sheep.
Daniel made it better. The day they were going to celebrate the twins turning fifteen, the little boy ran into their room and shook Ronnie awake before running over and doing the same to Jessie, a large grin on his face. He had always had way too much energy, and Ronnie sat up, a small, but tired, smile on her face. "You can't let us sleep in on our birthday, kiddo?"
"It's not really your birthday!" She rolled her eyes and slipped out of her bed, casting a look at Jessie. She'd gotten her sister a present, of course. She really did put forth actual effort to keep their birthday happy. In her mind, it sort of balanced out ignoring her sister for the entire school year, unless they were at home.
Daniel hated to see them fight.
Ronnie picked up the three year old, and plopped him on Jessie's bed with her. "Did you remember to get us something, hmm?" All she got in response was a grin and a motion of zipping his lips, which made her roll her eyes at Jessie.
