Welcome to the second issue of the Hogwarts/Hogsmeade Quarantine Bubble News. Still no illustrations (sorry Flint) but we're accepting scribblings from anyone, though we reserve the right to torch them/laugh at them if they're awful. In the interest of keeping the general populace informed of what's going on, we're going to recap all the information we've been able to gather. If you have information (not rumours or suspicions, but actual information, please) please let us know, and we'll include it. Now, onto the news.
★ First and foremost, the very helpful and unbiased Daily Prophet reported about a string of elf murders. Our local bleeding hearts are up in arms over the poor, helpless creatures. The rest of us want to know if it's some plot to starve us all in here. Either way, it's nice to see the Ministry addressing the problem with it's usual efficiency.
★ Jimmy Peakes was poisoned, apparently right in the middle of the Great Hall, in the company of his auror brother. That's certainly reassuring.
★ Apparently breastfeeding involves more than putting a suckling baby up to your breast. Hopefully we'll hear no more details about this.
★ Longbottom apparently punched Theo Nott because of something he said. That's certainly showing off the Gryffindor way of handling things.
★ Potter is advising his friends to mind their own business (unless he's invented some new form of spell-casting that involves... no, I can't even go there.)
★ The currently known infected list consists of: Yours truly, Hermione Granger, Ophelia Rushden, Dean Thomas, Morag McDougal, Poppy Caxton, Tracey Davis, Saffir Capper, Angelina Johnson, Ronnie Montgomery, Draco Malfoy, Andrew Kirke, and one of the aurors. Edit: and Michael Corner
★ Nothing has blown up lately. However, I'm told Michael Corner is feeling violent, so if something does blow up... not saying he would do that, but you never know.
★ I'm told there is work being done on a cure, however, no actual information is forthcoming.
