"And I repaid them by getting their son killed. I think I've done enough," she replied, staring at the opposite wall.
"Jessie, I actively look for ways to make your life hell. Can you blame me for thinking you'd be a little relieved that I was gone?" She shot a glance at her sister. No, she didn't think her sister would be happy, but she certainly didn't think it would be too upsetting. Sure, Ronnie would be upset if Jessie died, but she would bury it, just like she had with Daniel.
"Don't forget, Jewllian Montague. I wouldn't be above haunting you if you don't honor my dying request."
As Jessie started to leave, Ronnie ran a hand through her hair. "You know we couldn't work together. That would still result in one of us dying," she replied softly. She cast another look at Jessie and nodded. "It does mean something, though. Thanks."
