Jessie had been waiting for her sister to make her appearance. Something didn't sit right with the way she had asked to speak with her over the journals, rather than just approaching her. And bringing up Daniel? They didn't do that. They didn't talk about him. So when Ronnie appeared across the table, sounding much like what Jessie assumed a good sister would, as much as Jessie wanted to say no and turn her back, she nodded and stood.
She grabbed the last slice of her toast before following her sister in silence to the empty room and sighed. Arms crossed over her chest, she took a defensive position. She really didn't want to talk about Daniel, but she had a feeling this wasn't about him at all.
It was about Greyback. It had to be. They were twins and with Jessie having talked to Lavender about him recently, it wasn't far fetched that Ronnie would have taken it all further than that and spoken with someone herself. Jessie wouldn't have put it past her sister to have talked right to the monster himself.
But Ronnie wanted to go for pleasantries. Jessie rolled her eyes and hugged her arms tighter across herself. "Ronnie.." She shook her head. Jessie didn't want to play these games.
