"I've been told I'm brilliant," she quipped in reply, a large smirk appearing on her face as she shrugged innocently. She took Ellie's hand in hers and gave it a squeeze. "We'll get back into it. We'll help each other out, like we always have, yeah?"
Sally let her head rest on Ellie's, listening carefully. She had only tensed up a little as Ellie's arm brushed against her back, and she felt she had something to be proud of there. "True. Though, this would have been easier if I knew I was more bi than lesbian when I was fifteen..." Still wouldn't have changed anything, no point in dwelling on it. She shook her head softly to get rid of those thoughts and took the treat that was offered, biting into it with a small smile.
She swallowed and looked over at her friend guiltily. "Ah...no. I was just thinking that it should come from her best friend, you know? Obviously I would be there if Harold wants me to, but...If the roles were reversed, I would want to hear it from my friend, not my ex-lover."
