Who: Sally and OPEN What: Sally's wandering Where: Ending in the kitchens When: Friday evening
Sally had missed the castle. She missed being able to go to the quidditch pitch for a run. She missed quidditch practice. Hell, she had even missed her classes! She knew why some people were hesitant to leave the village, but bad things had happened while they stayed in the village, too. She didn't really consider anywhere truly safe, anymore, but at least Hogwarts felt like it. It was more home to her than anywhere else, and if she was going to be in danger, she had at least wanted to be somewhere she was comfortable.
Sally had gone up to her spot on the seventh floor for a while, just looking out the window at the familiar view, but decided after a while to wander. She didn't know how long she had just wandered the corridors aimlessly. Maybe a few hours. It wasn't like she had anything to do at the moment. She was almost eagerly waiting for classes to start again, so that she could actively procrastinate homework again.
Eventually, she found herself in the kitchens, surrounded by eager house elves. "Hi! Uh, have any cake?" Half of them dashed off to get her some while the others ushered her to one of the tables, and she sat down to wait, a small smile on her face. She heard the portrait giggle and then a second later it opened. Sally turned towards the person with a smile and spoke before the house elves noticed them, "If you were looking for cake, you're in luck. They're making some right now."
