Theodore caught himself watching Timothy licking his fingers again. It was distracting, to say the least. He'd never been particularly...interested, but there was something about the way his tongue darted out just so that made him feel warm under his collar.
"Oh, that's...it's all right, really. It's a...complex subject, and not...not everyone enjoys it, particularly when...when Professor Snape was...he had that way about him, as you know." It felt like a little betrayal. Theodore always thought Snape had been so critical of his students in large part because he cared deeply about his line of work. He was a hard man, and despite his disastrous tenure as Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and then Headmaster, not to mention the other things he had done, Theodore missed him.
