It took Rose nearly half an hour to convince her roommates that it was more than safe for her to walk to the tea shoppe by herself. It was still daylight, and people were out and about on the streets. Regardless of the cold, no one was going to kidnap her, especially Bole, in plain daylight. That was just bloody nonsense. Plus she wanted something. Maybe something lemon. Or did she want a scone? Or ice cream? Or fuck... she had no idea. Her hormones were on the fritz and she didn't want anyone close to her to have to deal with that right now.
So bundling up and walking her way towards the bakery, she couldn't help but slow her walking when she passed someone who was vaguely familiar. Penny, was it? She had read a failed ward about her, and she knew internally that the other girl was pregnant, much like herself....
"Better listen to her, Edgar," she said in an amused fashion, trying to spark some kind of conversation. Because deep down, Rose craved another person who understood what she was going through. "As cute as you are, I'd leave you too in this kind of weather," she teased with a smile, shooting the same grin in the other girl's direction. "You're Penny, right?" she questioned, cocking her head to the side. If the other girl was really against socializing she'd understand. But fuck, Rose felt so alone in this right now, she was craving the understanding of someone else who knew what was happening to her.
