It wasn't good news. In all likelihood, Dean could easily have seen from private conversations that Harry was extremely friendly with Draco. He couldn't think of much else he'd discussed privately with anyone. He'd asked Melinda for Polyjuice... for Draco. Generally, though, he hadn't committed much to paper. Not for a while, at least.
Nonetheless, it wouldn't take much digging to discover the full truth of it. Actually, reading private conversations in general could probably revealed a great deal of useful information. Harry could only imagine what Lucius Malfoy was saying to people behind wards. Or fucking Rodolphus Lestrange. That slippery bastard was surely guilty of something. All of that was much more important than whether or not all of Gryffindor was about to find out that he was dating Draco Malfoy.
None of that, however, was any comfort. He still had to find out what Dean knew. And how. What sort of magic would single one person out to see through all privacy spells? Dean didn't even have any magic, so obviously he didn't do it himself.
