He hugged her back, burying his face in her shoulder and inhaling deeply, as if perhaps the scent of her would make everything make sense again. Seamus knew Lia had every right to be angry and upset at him, though he doubted she could be any more than he was, but the accusation shocked him.
"What? What? No! Never! Li I would never, ever, cheat on you I-" He faltered, remembering the earlier conversation with Lucius. He swallowed and released his grip on her, "I don't know what happened I don't... fuck I don't remember. I don't remember anything I just-- I guess something happened. Something made me... I got drunk Li. I got drunk, and I don't remember anything. I got so fucking drunk I don't remember anything for days!"
The shame was written over his face. He'd tried so hard to stay away from liquor. He knew how easy it was going to be to drown his fears and pain and weakness at the bottom of a bottle. So why? Why had he woken up and given in? He couldn't even remember.
