“I happen to think that marriage is a noble pursuit.” Percy said gently, taking a long sip of his rum before refilling his glass, the alcohol already working its magic and making him pleasantly warm and numb. “My parents were never perfect, but I always admired the love they had for one another.” He admitted to Justin, his hand going through his hair again. He always wanted that sort of relationship, but never quite seemed to find it. He was meant to be alone, he was positive of that now more than ever. He’d wanted a family, and a love of his own, but knew that he was just too boring, and too serious for that sort of thing.
“I believe you always love your first love,” Percy said, with another long sip, “but I’ve long since given up any hope that Penny and I would get back together.” He shrugged again, “It’s all for the best, I’m sure.”
