“Well, Magic or not, you’re still the best brain the school has.” Ernie said honestly when she finished talking about her work load. He tilted his head a little bit, as if thinking about what she’d been saying about the map. “Well, I mean, we already know that Hogwarts has it’s own sort of innate magic because of the Room of Requirements, and since thats stopped working, maybe that is affecting the way the map works, like maybe it was feeding off the magic that the school had. So If you can get the Room to start working again, and fix whatever it is that controls that, maybe the map will sort of work again.” He shrugged again,it was all very theoretical, and a thought that had just sort of popped into his head unresearched.
“Please, don’t let me distract you from what you’re working on!” Though Ernie really really wanted to spend more time talking to her, “Unless of course, you need to take a bit of a break, than we can go where ever you’d like.” He couldn’t help the edge of hopefulness in his voice.
