Dean paused, eyes locked on to Seamus with almost an identical puzzled expression on his face. It wasn't as though he believed that the other had gone out of his way to hurt himself and make those that cared worried. No, not even for a second. The answer had just been unexpected, but of course, Alecto would go through the extra precaution. Curse or not, it didn't matter. Dean had told Warrington about the visit, including the fact that she had threatened to come for the blonde next. The aurors would know by now that a Carrow sibling would be behind all of this, figuring that they all shared information.
"You didn't do this. I know you better than that," he affirmed. When all seemed dire, the two could always count on each other to have one another's back. That would never change. When Dean finally calmed down and thought about the situation, his mind pieced it all together. It didn't stop him from feeling guilty. He should have done more. Something. Anything. Even if he didn't fully understand the reason behind Alecto's motives. "She did this. Alecto. And now she's gone and cursed you. We're not going to let her get away with this, mate. She's not going to get away with any of this." There was a slight squeeze to Seamus' hand. It was okay to feel frustrated. Dean would feel the same way if it were the other way around, unable to stop thoughts of his mum.
