"Nah, I'll figure it out. Kind of got more important things to worry about anyway and at this rate, right? Who needs to graduate?" she said with a small giggle, keeping the fact that she was actually pretty serious about that out of her voice and off of her face. Ellie wasn't stupid by any means, but she also felt far too much. With all the sickness, death, disappearances, and terror? She couldn't manage to keep her thoughts straight for two seconds with all the emotional fluctuation flying about around her.
"Oh yeah?" Ellie chuckled with another eyebrow waggle, playfully elbowing Sally in her side, giving her a knowing look. "And how were these 'meet ups'?" she asked, keeping up her teasing tone. But at her admission about why they were keeping it all a secret, El had to bite her lower lip. She understood half of it...
"So... you think that Laura would be angry somehow?" she asked softly, laying down beside Sally on her stomach, propping up herself on her elbow.
"I mean... for a while, I understand. Once a couple becomes public... well a certain level of privacy is breached. But..." she trailed off, looking at the ends of her hair for a moment before speaking again, "But you really shouldn't keep it from Laura for that long. Things like this are bound to come out eventually, and I think she would appreciate hearing it from one of you two instead of someone else. If she's really Harold's friend, she'll understand." And then she had to add, giving Sally a sideways glace. "And of course you're not a terrible person, Sally. I don't make it a habit to be friends with terrible people."
But she was more than glad Sally agreed to letting Ellie help her get ready. She wouldn't dress her up like some kind of doll or something, she still wanted Sally to be herself. But... Maybe a nice top, and a bit of curls at the end of her hair. Simple things... "I'd love that to. I have a few ideas. Nothing crazy though, I promise."
