"It is when you're behind as I am," she admitted with a small sigh, closing her book and giving the other girl her full attention. After all, her schoolwork would still be there in an hour. "Mhmmmm..." Ellie began as Sally mentioned candy, knowing her high was about much more than sugar but waiting patiently for her to say so. Ellie liked to wait for people to tell her things instead of prodding,it just seemed far more kind.
And then when she brought up Harold, Ellie perked up. She hadn't heard much since Sally and her spoke last about the topic and she was more than interested in an update. Which she most certainly got, albeit a bit rushed. But Elle made out the words and she smiled at her friend. "I'm not going to tell anyone, love, don't worry. But I'm so happy for you! Have you gone out yet? And why is it a secret? Do you just want to see how it goes before saying anything?" Ellie just wanted to know everything, but she knew Sally would be happy to give her the missing details.
"Are you going on a date soon? Can I help you get ready?"
