Ellie was pleasantly surprised with how happy her friend looked, and she couldn't help as she tilted her head a bit in questioning as Sally plopped down next to her. But she'd leave that for a few moments, instead throwing her blanket off of her and returning the other girl's hug, giving her the best smile she could manage so Sally wouldn't ask her how she was doing. After all, Ellie hated lying and she wasn't interested in ruining her friend's good mood. This was about the dark haired girl now anyway. "That's a lot to live up to now, Sals," she teased, leaning her head onto her shoulder. "Just doing some homework. It's sort of gross, let's be honest. Other than that, nothing really, just hanging out," she said easily enough.
"But what's up with me isn't awfully important right now. What exactly is up with you, miss smiley pants Sally. I don't think I've seen you quite this bouncy in a long while." To emphasize her point, and her knowledge that she knew the other girl had something to tell her, Ellie waggled her eyebrows in her direction. "Come on now, fess up!"
