“You’re brilliant, Hermione.” Ernie said with a bit of a smile, his hand running over the spine of one of the books she’d brought him. It probably wasn’t normal for someone to get excited about having their homework brought to them, but Ernie could only handle so much idle time. And if he could fill it with anything other than talking to people he didn’t particularly know (not that there was anything wrong with Tracey or Genevieve, he was sure they were lovely women) but he was sick, and didn’t feel like he’d make a particularly good impression with them.
“It’s honestly alright. Homework is the last thing I want to be stressed about at the end of the day.” Ernie tried to smile again, it was honestly touching that Hermione would do him a favor when he knew that she had other things to worry about, and to think about. He took the box of biscuits, and held it open to her. “You should get a biscuit, especially before I got about touching them and getting my germs all over it.” He smirked.
