Adrian looked rather happy, and Cassius couldn't help but wonder what had the other man in such a good mood. But then again, it wasn't really his place to ask. Maybe he was just having an extra good day, after all, even if it was incredibly early on in it. He watched silently as the other man touched down, tilting his head a bit at the other man's words, trying to decide if they were even genuine to begin with. Cassius, after all, was more than aware he had taken Adrian's spot on the Slytherin team one year, and that the other man was probably not an awfully big fan of him. But it wasn't really his fault, after all. He hadn't been captain, merely a player. Any grudge held against him would be in vain.
Though he couldn't help but follow along in he same type of speech as Adrian. He could sense no anger or hatred in his words, but that didn't mean they couldn't have been phrased in a more friendly manner. "Oh you know me, Adrian," he said simply enough, half leaning on his broom and letting his eyes narrow in the other man's direction. "Slytherins are always looking to be heroes, obviously." He half smiled then, looking up at the goal posts before back at Adrian. "Really, I didn't particularly care where they send me, and most were vehemently against this position. So... it fell to me. Whatever," he said simply enough with a shrug.
"I heard you had quite the crack on the noggin here a year or so ago. Things going alright with that?" Perhaps not the happiest thing to talk about, but it was something.
